The folks over at Christian Web Trends have done a survey to see what people want in a church mobile application (you know… iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry). You can see what they came up with here…
But I’m wondering… do you use ANY mobile apps for churches or Christian organizations…
If you don’t, please leave a comment saying NO, and telling why.
Also, if you DO… leave a comment telling us which ones…
Either way…Â Please take a moment to leave a comment…
Thanks,
Todd
After looking over the article. I think the better discussion is why such disparity in the way small church leaders see their congregation and large church leaders see their congregations. Small church leaders by far did not see this as useful and that only 5% of their congregation would use it while large saw it as useful thinking 50% of the congregation would use it. Seems to me their is another story within the article relating to the differences in small and large churches.
Rather than invest thousands of dollars in developing our own app – we refer people to the YouVersion app for Biblical discussion, the UStream.TV app for our media content and the Facebook app for “doing life together.” The book Externally Focused church instructs to partner with existing organizations that are serving your community rather than create your own ministry which may duplicate services. We use the same strategy for our online presence.
